Can you believe we've hit the 15th edition of OWN? Me, either. I hope you're getting something out of them. I know I am!

In this one, we talk about podcasting, reseller webhosting (I do it myself), more WordPress vulnerabilities (keep your sites updated ALWAYS), what to do when you're starting a new site, and–finally–a new app, Clubhouse. If you want an invitation, don't look at me. It's only open to iPhone users, and, well, I'm not one of them. But I hear it's great.

You know a lot but you don't ever act. Don't be that guy.

Without further ado, let's go! Have a great week.

What makes the Clubhouse app click?
Clubhouse app uses product-led growth in an interesting manner. For starters, Clubhouse is an audio-based app where you talk to others (including celebs if you end up being in the same room as them). There is no DM or typing or spamming anyone. Just hop in and hop out of any room based on your interest and relevance.

Advertising - Get Real

Advertising and marketing are creative disciplines. That's one reason I love being a part of the marketing industry. In my opinion it is certainly possible to be too creative for your own good. What exactly do I mean by that? Let me share a very public example to explain. My example comes from the reality television show, "The Apprentice." Okay, so I admit it, I LOVE that show. I'm not much of a reality TV fan, but there's something about watching these teams compete on business challenges week in and week out that intrigues and entertains me. Quite often they are given marketing-related tasks on the show. Let's face it, marketing is one of THE most important jobs you'll ever have in business. If you can do it well, your business will more than likely do well. If y...
